Classic Dutch Design: The Revolt Chair

You may know by now that I like minimalistic chairs and that I have a weak spot for classic Dutch design. One of my favourite Midcentury Design icons that originates in Holland is the Revolt Chair that was designed by Friso Kramer in 1953. This industrial chair was very revolutionary in its time - because of its use of simple, indestructible, materials and sleek lines - yet it was enthusiastically adopted throughout the country where it found its place in classrooms and offices. In 2004 the chair was reintroduced by Ahrend. I particularly like the white one!
